The beaches near San Juan have an ideal aquatic topography for the creation of good waves. Its varied forms create the major variety of waves in Nicaragua and therefore offers many different options for the surfer.

We have the most consistent conditions with strong waves in the following beaches: Yankee, Playa Hermosa, Maderas, Popoyo, Playa de los Perros and Manzanillo. This last one is considered one of the best "lefts" in central America.
